CREATE organized a demonstrative training program on organic input preparation and its application in Kurumbur village of Tiruchendur block, Tuticorin district, on 3rd February 2025. Around 30 farmers from neighboring villages of Kurumbur participated in the program.
Mr. Rajesh from Tamilaga Aer Uzhavan Anaithu Vivasayigal Sangam coordinated the participation of farmers from neighboring villages. Prof. Dr. P. Duraisingam, Chairman of CREATE, inaugurated the training cum demonstration and explained the objectives and background of the program.
Mr. Manavari Mariappan shared his experiences in organic farming.
Mr. Manna Egambaram, a well-known organic farming trainer, facilitated the demonstrations of five types of basic organic inputs that can reduce farmers’ external dependency and cultivation costs. The bio-inputs included plant growth promoters, soil health and immunity builders, and pest-repellent herbal mixtures made from livestock and crop waste materials.
