Expert Consultation on Medicinal & Nutritional Wealth of 20 Traditional Paddy Varieties

CREATE initiated a nutritional research study on 20 traditional paddy varieties at NIFTEM-T, analyzing their chemical composition, nutrients, and minerals. The results were interpreted by academic experts to ensure accessibility and relevance for farmers, consumers, and policymakers.
Ahead of presenting these findings to the Government of Tamil Nadu and the public, CREATE organized a consultation meeting at Asha Nivas, Chennai, on September 23, 2025, with participation from experts in health, nutrition, biotechnology, farmer representatives, consumer groups, and organic retailers.
